A very nice Shorebird from
the Atlantic City, NJ area.
It is a very early Black Bellied
Plover in winter plumage.
It is 8 3/4 in. long. It has
dry paint and some shot
scars. It has proffesional bill
repair. Still has the original
spline in the back of the head.
It has something written in
pencil on the bottom of the tail.

of Cape Cod, Mass. The Pheasant
is 8 inches long. It is in very good
condition. It is signed on the

Madison Mitchell Sleeper
Canvasback Duck Decoy

From Havre de Grace, MD.
Mr. Mitchell was the most famous
of the upper bay carvers. This decoy
is 13 in. long and all original paint.
The weight has been removed
by the previous owner so it would
set flat on the shelf. A great looking
decoy from the early 1960's.
It is not signed.

Wildfowler Redhead Duck Decoy

From the Wildfowler Decoy
Factory, Old Saybrook, CT. It
is in very nice condition.
Looks to be all original paint.
The head is loose. It has
some wear on the tail.. It is
stamp branded in the bottom.
A nice hunted over Redhead
(Aythya Americana). Body
looks to be made of balsa.

Cape Charles on Virginia's

good condition. Looks to be all original
paint. It has normal wear associated
with hunting use. It is not stamped

made of cedar or pine.

A wooden half size Goose made
by Wendell Gilley of Southwest
Harbor, ME. There is a museum
there in Mr. Gilley's name. This
Goose is 11 1/2 in. long and 10 in.
tall. It was made in 1959. Great
carving and paint on this one.

looks to have been glued.

MD. John made this is in 1998.
He was the chairman of the Havre
de Grace decoy festival in 2000. It
is signed and dated. It has a couple rubs.

Mallards. They are about 4
inches long and sit on a 11
inch long piece of driftwood.
They are signed "K.B. 1986"
on the driftwood. The maker is
unknown to me. Great detail

Shorebird by Steve Morey


Great looking Shore bird made
by the late Steve Morey of
Tuckerton, NJ. It is marked with
his "M" carved into the bottom.
It is 5 in. long and stands
6 in. high on the wooden
base. Steve passed away
away in 2014 at the age of 67.
He was from Tuckerton, NJ.
He was a well know decoy
maker and folk artist.

This is a great looking Bluebill
decoy made by the late Guinea
Legg from Kent Island, MD.
Holton Legg, another Kent Island
decoy maker was his uncle.
It is all original and signed on the
bottom. It is 13 in. long and 6 3/4 in.
tall. It has some scuffs and rubs.
A great looking, hard to find local
decoy to add to your collection.

A very nice looking pair of
full size Mallards from Kent
Island, MD. Capt. Kirby was
featured in the decoy book
"The Forgotten Seven" Decoy
Carvers of Kent Island. They
are 15 in. long and 7 1/2 in.
tall. They are flat bottom,
hand chopped and original
paint. It will be hard to find
a better pair. Green felt
is on both bottoms.

Titbird worked in Madison Mitchells shop for many

cotton wood. They have the

of the neck on the hen. This
